Finally got this finished 🥰. I was able to use up most of the scraps in the backing and binding. Just in time for the baby shower!

Month 3 of the Strawberry Garden BOM are the Due South block and Pinwheel blocks. I love these little pinwheel blocks, especially the yellow pinwheel. I think a quilt of yellow pinwheels would be lovely. Like wrapping yourself in a bit of sunshine. The Strawberry Garden book includes a pattern for making a pinwheel quilt and I am wondering if I can squeeze in one more project 🤣😂🤭

Month 2 of the Strawberry Garden BOM. These Berry blocks are so cute! 🥰 I love the way the Flying Due South blocks came out, and the Fig Tree fabrics selected are gorgeous. One of the things I love about @fatquartershop BOM programs is that they always provide more fabric than is needed. Mistakes happen! I am a frequent flyer at the Measure Once, Cry Twice club 😂😂

Block 15: I started this challenge while I was on PTO. Now that I am back at work I find my energy dragging a bit each time I sit down to start a block. In my mind I think “I don’t have the energy tonight” 😴 but by the time I’m finished I feel re-energized ⚡️like I just had the best nap!

Sometimes taking the time to do the things that bring you joy is better than a 5-hour energy shot 😂🥰

I’ve finished block five. It’s back to work tomorrow and my son and his family have had an unexpected extension of their stay with us so I hope I’m able to work on blocks six through ten this week. But really can’t complain about more time with family 🥰

I just pulled my fabrics for the #dutchdiscoveries workshop, a #quiltfolkadventure. This is my first time participating in these online workshops and they are amazing. The interviews with Willyne Hammerstein, Hilde Hoogwaerts (@hildehoogwaerts) and Petra Prins (@petra.prins) were captivating. I can’t wait to get started on my project. The tutorial with Willyne Hammerstein was wonderful, what a fascinating and talented artist!
