As the new year begins, I find myself brimming with excitement for the quilting projects I have planned for 2025. This blog will be my creative haven and a way to stay accountable. I hope you join me on this journey!
Projects, Both New and Works in Progress
I was definitely not on top of my quilting game during 2024. I had big plans for what I was going to accomplish. I was going to make 12 quilts, I was going to longarm the stack of quilt tops growing in my project space, and I was going to finish projects I had been working on since the summer of 2023. Then I got COVID, and I lost my sewjo, pretty hard. It took me MONTHS to get back into the project room and start sewing every day. So, I have plenty of projects in progress and plenty of projects just waiting to be started! Here are just a few to start off with:
Works in Progress:
Floret Baby Quilt: I am thrilled to start with the Floret Quilt -- a perfect baby quilt for my partner's daughter. I'll be incorporating her favorite colors, along with her sister's favorite hue, to create what I hope is a truly special quilt for her.

Tula Pink's 100 Modern Quilt Blocks Challenge: I am stepping out of my comfort zone, and I've taken on the 100 Modern Quilt Block challenge by Tula Pink. I had just started this when I came down with COVID-19 and was only 35 blocks into the challenge. While I definitely blew the 100-day deadline, I think just getting it finished will be a win. This project promises to be (and has been!) both challenging and fun. I am using a mix of Tula Pink and Kaffe Fasset scraps along with My Favorite Linens from Laundry Basket fabrics and Kona solids.
New Project
Morning Glories Baby Quilt: This beautiful pattern and quilt kit from Fabric Quarter Shop is destined to become a cherished gift for a friends first child. The fabric is the Georgia Collection by designer Brenda Riddle. I'll be sharing my process from start to finish.
